Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar admitted to hospital

Mumbai: Bollywood legend actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to hospital in a critical condition, Indian media reported.

The actor has been in frail health for a long time. However, the situation worsened and he was rushed to Lilavati Hospital after complaining of respiratory problems.

According to doctors the next 72 hours are critical but he was not in intensive care. Earlier, his family said that there was nothing to worry. He was admitted at around 2 AM on Saturday.

The 93-year-old actor was born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan but adopted the screen name of Dilip Kumar. His last film was released in 1998 and is considered as one of the finest actors in the Indian film industry.

SRK today did an interaction with his fans through #fame where he was asked about Aryan’s Bollywood plans. The actor very calmly explained that it will be have to wait if at all there are any such plans. “Aryan and Suhana have to study. So for the next 5-7 years, they will be concentrating on studies only. Post that, if they want to join films, they may. There is no plan right now of them becoming actor or actress till they finish their studies.” Now that’s a dutiful father talking. Someone who has been a great student in school, SRK surely wants his kids to be educated and learned first.

Ram Gopal Varma signs Vivek Oberoi for his film Rai

The maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is in the news again. However, this time round it is not for any controversy but for his film with Vivek Oberoi titled Rai. The film is based on the life of the underworld don Muthappa Rai.

RGV, who has reportedly claimed that the tales of deadly gangsters like Pablo Escobar, Dawood Ibrahim and Al Capone, were nothing as compared Rai, will be launching the film's poster on May 1, which happens to be his birthday.

While Rai will be made in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, it will be shot in Mangalore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Dubai and London. The film is being produced by CR Manohar.
